Why did they do that!!! SE changed the systemconnector on the new K750i. They call it fast port.
Why did they do that???

well mate you answered your own question, because they changed it coz like you said its a fast port.

u really don't know where the idea came in & most likely it was joint as they must both surely agree. Accept SE as one company & not Ericsson competing with Sony.
SE has been a much greater success than either Sony or Ericsson would have been individually

I have try the new desk stand for K750i or W800i... seem Old stand is easy port in and port out.. I tried this in Cebit Yesterday... Really awesome.. Won't regret to go there..

Nothing works for ever. Even my 4 year old PC starts to become incompatible with newer and better hardware. Not everything is possible to make backward compatible.
They changed the connector to increase the transfer speed and to be able to add USB 2.0 support, which was not possible with the old connector. In future even the fast port may be changed if they find something better.
That's called evolution (it happens to humans and animals too).

I understand the electronic changes but my point is that maybe they could have made those changes but kept mechanical compatibility so at least u can plug in existing chargers etc
