Hey there, just to say that i have found that if you have more than 1024 sms messages (inbox and sent combined), the new message indicator refuses to dissappear. This probably doesn't affect many people, but as i am a teen i'm a heavy texter and this amount can easily accumulate over a period of time as small as 6 weeks. Does anyone know why this error starts showing up? Is it a limitation of the messages.app similar to the limitation of 65532 lines in excel? It's annoying as the 64MB of space are perfect for a gmail-esque approach to messages where you don't have to delete anything.
Anyways, just a random little error i've just discovered!

Nice to know about the limitation, but I'll probably never reach that amount of sms messages even if I tried my very best.
I just think that's it's a built-in failsafe for memory use. I guess the designers haven't thought about the possibility of someone actually storing more than said amount of sms / mms or mail messages without doing a backup of some sort.
just my 2 cents.

It happends in My p900 but is not a problem, if u have the inbox sort by date may be u got a delayed message (someone could send a sms to you 2 days ago or something but your operator didnt sent it untill now) wich hasnt been readed but u can see it, try to search for any unreaded msj and delete it and your problem should disapear.
Delete all your messages is a quicker way off course
