Just wondering whether any one has one of these phones? And whether they can answer me a few questions?
Can they be used on standard vodafone instead of 3G version.
Is memory expandable?
Does it come with a cradle or data cable in the box to hook it up with the PC?
Main question: Would you recomend (spelling ) getting one ?
Cheers
James

Hi mate..
The memory is expandable up to 1 G, using memory stick pro duo.
The box comes with charger, memory card, pc suite, cleaning cloth, usb-cable (for sync with pc), battery and of course manual!
I guess you can use the phone on whatever network you choose, if you flash your phone. If you are stuck on Vodaphone contract the phone automatically chooses the 3g network of Vodafone...
Why would you use their 2g network?
And yes, I would definetly recomend this phone

I have a V800 and have flashed it using setool to get rid of the vodafone firmware. There's an option to select whether you want the phone to search for 2G and 3G networks or 2G only. So yes, you could lock the phone to 2G only.

@devo.. was it simple to flash it to debrand it because from what I have read thats the best thing to do?

I didn't have any problems unlocking or flashing and it was nice to get rid of all the awul vodafone customisations. Only annoying thing is that I now can't access the wap portal for vodafone but if you aren't bothered about that then it's not a problem.

That somebody does not know what he/she is talking about!
You can have mp3/midi/amr ringtones if your V800 has been debranded. You would be silly to dismiss this phone as weak just cos of ringtones unless you are a fickle teeny bopper

The phone has a speaker phone so it is capable of having "loud" ringtones too.
