Haven't heard of such a problem on R2AE. Where did you upgrade the firmware? This message was posted from a T230

Those pinky patches usually appear for me when i try to take pictures in fluorescent lighting or when i try to take pictures in in-sufficient lighting or something, but in proper light conditions, you shouldnt have that problem.... Take a pic outdoors in the sunlight and if the pic still gives pink patches take it to a service center and explain the problem to them

nothing really you can do about it, its only a VGA phonecam.
New firmware has a new cameradriver that has improved pictures under poor ligting slightly in regards of noise, this is at the expense of other things since a VGA phonecam like this is very simple. It can more or less only have one optimum setting. In case of K700, optimum setting is sunny daylight, lots of light. In less than optimum light conditions you will experience things like this.

Its easy fixed in an image editor.
