hi guys! wonder if any of u has tried changing the gprs port settings to anything other than 8080/9201? i tried on my k700 in india on airtelgprs, with the result that i could get net access with virtually any no. on port settings! i tried adding an an additional '0' to the usual 8080 or 9201, with the result that the final port no changed to some other 5-digit no. some of these ports provided faster surfing sppeds, though i don'tknow if tit was a temporary connection related issue as in an ordinary dial-up connection. any comments? also, does anyone know if the surfing speed is related to the port settting. this is only applicable to a gprs connection on a computer. for the mobile connection, only 8080 seems to work.
