A yr back my t610 was stolen and i tried all i could to get it back but in vain. Now my frens are gettin miss calls and msg from my stolen number and when i enquired about it to my service provider(hutch) they told that the number is been reissued. Is their any means by which the service provider can help in such a case.

Ya i think so but then, had the number been reissued with a new sim then the miss calls and the msg would'nt be possible.

Yup, it is possible. Your call list will still be reproduced when you put a new sim in. So those on your recieved/missed/dialed calls at the time it got stolen will be known.

This is indeed very queer...if its the same person who knows your friends' phone numbers then its highly improbable the same person would get the new sim to which your old no. has been reassigned.

Ok. Now tell me what you think or this- my cuz used a nok and then changed to a c100. He was testing gprs and put his sim into my t230. Remember, he had been using the c100 for quite some time now. Some of his friends changed their number when he was still on nok. He had overwritten all contacts in the nok. Now, when he put his sim into my t230, his full call list, when he used the nok was reproduced. How did that happen?

@govi coz his phonebook has been saved on his sim since the nokia days...any changes done were probably made in contacts(ie the numbers on the phone) and not committed to the sim. When he moved he would have edited contacts again most probably(maybe without realizing the ambiguity)

Call list is written on sim so there's no way that someone who bought reissued sim could have your numbers on it. Either your network provider gave you wrong information e.g. the thee is still using your old sim, either it's somebody you know.
