> K700 locks-up on DSS-25

Apologies if this has been convered before - couldn't find when I searched.
My k700 -Orange, unbranded, R2L - regularly locks up when on the DSS-25. It tends to do it when going into "automatic" lock/screen-saver (but not always). Phone just sits there going "beep beep beep" and can only be reset by taking off the battery.
Sometimes it does this when the PC it's connected to is on, sometimes when I turn off the PC.
I tried to upgraded the firmware again using SEUS but all I got was "your provider does not authorise this service".
I could do another DaVince flash but am reluctant to do this if nothing else is improved.
Any pointers?
