> sell p800 to upgrade to p910?
Bookmark topic
i bought a p800 used about 6 months ago off ebay for about $300US (£160 or 225 EUR). Came with the dock, charger, stupid little bag thing, 3 stylus... well basically everything but the book and the software cd's. anyway, im researching ebay and find that I can sell it for about $260US (about £130 or 190EUR). would it be worth to sell and use the money to buy a p910 for about $600US (about £315 or 480EUR)? i really really like the 910: great design and i can use most of my software that i downloaded for the p800. but is it worth selling my p800 to upgrade or should i just keep the 800 and wait for the newest from SE?
just curious as to what the esato poeple think as far as if its worth the upgrade and the additional cost. Thanks for your time!

You should definitely get a P910i. Great phone. Much better than the P800 in terms of designs and functions.

How about a compromise of a P900 with P910 firmware. Cheaper, still a huge leap over P800 & with many P910 benefits such as PRO Duo compatibility

well i heard something that the p900 doesnt have the 850 range on it, but the p910 does? im in the states on ATT/cingular service and i think they run on the 850 bandwidth. i could be wrong, but i dont think they p900 is compatible with that 850 range so thats why i wanna go with they 910. but the biggest question is whether its worth the 300 upgrade? im a student but i love my gadgets

To be honest, i doubt that you will be able to sell the p800 for more than £100...... im wanting to do the exact same with my p800....... sell it and then buy the p910i....
Just out of coincidence, where did you find out you could sell you p800 for around £130?

well, i am converting the $ => £ at xe.com first of all. i searched and converted completed auctions from the ebay.com website where p800's are selling in the states for about $260/$300, depending on the accessories that come along with it. i also saw p800's going for about £90 on the ebay.co.uk website. so that's just a guess when i say about £130 because it depends on the day's dollar to pound convertion rate. but for basically spending only $300 i can get a brand-new p910 (you can buy a brand new in box p910 for $615 plus $40 shipping.)

Can't fault the 910...better than the p900,and much better than the old unstable 800.You'll be lucky to get 80 uk pound for the 800,but best of luck.

yeah if you want the 850 band you have to get the 910a, be very sure that you are getting the 910a. DO NOT get the 910i.
