Hey guys.
I just need your help for a bit please.
OK i know how to make a .hid file but i need to know something.
How can i make a button have multiple commands instead of just one command?
For example with the desktop remote control. Pushing # brings up the start menu and pushing 2 uses the uparrow key to scroll upwards.
How can i make it so that if i push a key on my phone, it opens the start menu, then scrolls up and selects an item. I would know how to do this if i knew how to have more than one command for each key.
Is it something like this: Win; Uparrow; Uparrow; leftarrow; return
Or Win, Uparrow, Uparrow, leftarrow, return
(return is the enter key)
Im using a K700i and im using HID Configuration Editor to make my hids.
By the way is there a way I can launch a program with one button click on my phone using a remote control .hid?
Thankyou.

Under the current version it states that only one action can be assigned to a key.
Later versions will apparently support "macros" (ie. more than one).
So, quick answer: No. Not as yet.

Quote from the technical document:
"Within the element, the action to be taken when the key is pressed is defined. In v1.0, only one action per key press can be performed." (Half-way down page 11)
It gives the impression that in later versions it will support more (I thought they stated that in the document but can't find where I read it now).

Create a shortcut to your program on your desktop or elsewhere. Open shortcut's properties and assign a quick button for it. For example ctrl-alt-w. Then in HID configurator assign this combination to one of the buttons in the phone. That's all
I use this to launch winamp through modified hid.

I meant to say that too!
After getting bored I have decided to make this tool available to everyone. It allows you to assign a script (containing commands to move & click the mouse, send keystrokes and start apps) to a key combination (ALT+CTRL+F1 to ALT+CTRL+F12).
http://www.cmdsoftware.com/bin/hs190405.zip
There's instructions in the archive on how to use it.
Edit:
The script tool has been updated - now includes an editor and various fixes.

Hey that shounds awesome. Ill have to check it out.
What i did yesterday was i made a Macro on my computer, gave it a shortcut, then entered that shortcut into my remote. One thing i have noticed is that when im running webviewer (a java html browser) the internet on my phone runs very slow because im running a remote control in the background. Is there a way so that after Webviewer launches, the remote closes, then after i close webviewer, the remote opens up again?
Thanks.
