I had trouble with my GPRS connection to my iPaq earlier today. I have now resolved that. But another problem has occured, I have a GPRS connection between my T68, iPaq and Bluetooth but I cannot go to any webpages or use any Internet service of any kind.
When I try to go to a website I get the error: The page you are looking for cannot be found.
I know my GPRS works on my phone and I am now assuming because I have got a connection it is working on the iPaq.
Any suggestions are welcome
Cheers

This problem is caused by the fact that you need the DNS address's (primary + secondary) to be entered for any WEB pages to be found using GPRS.
Call your service provider to get them, it will fix the problem.
The S45 will produce this error enen if the DNS address's are not in as it does not use the standard GPRS Dialup *99#, but uses the dial-up *99***1# for GPRS Web access.

if it's voicestream, then it could be the proxy server: doesn't work without the proxy server setting. use the IP address instead of

it all depends on your service providor and how you need to setup your ipaq. Most SP's have transperant proxies so the only thing you really need to do is correcctly setup your bluetooth connection, the most common problem I have seen is intermittent connection or ip problems with dns.
let us know how you go, I am sure we can help you walk through the corrcet settings

I'm having the same problem with my Ipaq 3975, AT&T, and my T68. Everything worked fine up until yesterday.. and BAM suddenly I cant browse any webpages. NOTHING changed on my phone or on my Ipaq.. it just seemed to stop working. It's not a DNS problem cause I can't even connect to the ip# when i put it in the browser. AT&T swears that nothing has changed with there network.... I just cant seem to figure this one out.

i have the same problem with my notebook. WAP gprs works well. i use vodafone omnitel - italy.
the solution:
for wap-gprs, omnitel use wap.omnitel.it as APN gateway.
for WEB (like notebook or IPAQ, i think) it use web.omnitel.it APN gateway.
so, create a NEW data connection identical to your GPRS-WAP, and ask your operator for correct APN gateway. insert it in this connection.
don't forget to remember the CID number for this new config.
insert *99***CID# where CID is the CID number you have in mind.
now, try your browser.

Hi All,
I am also having the same prob. when I am trying to connect my 3970 to t68, I got a error msg. in my t68 as GPRS request rejected, and my IPAQ says connected, when I try to browse the internet it says page not available. Pls. correct me where I am doing wrong. My GPRS conn. is working perfectly fine. I can do wap over gprs, I connect my laptop through the t68 also and browse the internet.
Regards
Ritesh
