Why do I get blue bars sometimes, and Orange bars at other times on the signal strength?

Could be that you're using different modes like "outdoors", "normal", "handfree" etc...

it should be the strength of the signal your phone is recieving...

blue - strong signal
orange - weak
red - no signal
