> Cannot open phonebook on Orange branded K700

My friend cannot open the phonebook on his k700. He ran out of power mid-call, got home charged it, switched it on and could not access his contacts. I tried the sim in my P900 no problem, could see the contacts that were stored there.
Any solutions?
Also does anyone know the default 'Phone Lock' code on Orange Branded K700's? I need it to do a master reset

The default code is 0000. I dunno if its different for branded phones.
