Hi, I just bought a new sony S700i mobile and I was wondering how many hours should I charge the battery for( i.e. the first initial charge)?
Thanks very much.

I would suggest you to charge it overnight. Six hours should be enough. But i'm sure the phone will be fully charged in less than two hours. Some people also suggest charging for twelve hours! Anyway, congrats for your phone! This message was posted from a T230

I don't think the first charge is critical with the li-ion batteries. Just plug in the phone and when full, the phone will stop charging. It'll prob take 4 or so charge cycles to get close to max capacity.

Theres nothing really wrong in charging overnight. Since the battery wont overcharge, why bother! :-D This message was posted from a T230
