> Just Bought a P900! Help Please!
Bookmark topic
Hi all,
I just purchased a P900, and it is as good as it is supposed to be!
However I do have a few questions.
Firstly I cant access any phone numbers from my sim.
Ive followed the steps in the user guide and still nothing!
Secondly if i take a picture, look at it, then exit and look at it again it will come up as just a red x, but if i turn the phoone on and off then its fine again?
Also if im just browsing something, and then click on the v rally demo, it will say not enough memeory or something (but there is) but then click on it again and its fine?
Thanks alot in advance, and this really does seem like a top site!

Heys,
good work

.
Anways, first of all, if you don't have anything to lose on that phone, do a full reset. The manual will tell you how to do that. That'll clear all the crap on your C: drive and you will start fresh with a configuration that will work.
Secondly, read about how to upgrade the firmware on your phone. It's on at least one of the threads here in the forum. Read about it, and then check if you need to upgrade. This upgrade will normally fix most of the problems you encounter.
Thirdly, you might want to get a program called SMan. It will help you a lot with your phone, especially when it comes to maintaining battery life and generally, maintaining your sanity.

Again, you can find this program just looking at a thead in this forum called "SMan 1.3c released"
Other than that, feel free to ask any questions.

Another question is that my phone was unlocked from the orange network and im now using it on T-mobile. Will i be able to use the net on it as all of the settings in internet and wap accounts seem to be something to with orange.

Actually, you can ask your current provider to send you an configuration SMS. As soon as you open it, it will ask you to save the configuration.
You either need to talk to their support over the phone or, alternately, you can check their web-page. It may be that they already have a support page where you plug in your phone number and it sends you the config SMS automatically.
Also, make sure you actually have GPRS enabled, or the configuration, while correct, will not help you at all to get on the net.
And make sure you familiarize yourself with how much they charge and for what. GPRS traffic can be *REALLY* expensive.
