Hi,
got my T68i R2A014 upgraded to R2E006 two days ago, but after using the phone it seems as though this latest SW is even slower than the R2A014 (never imagined an even slower version could be possible!
).. Anybody else experienced this?
Elsewhere, I charged my phone during the night, and when I plugged out the charger, it said 279h standby. All of a sudden the phone turned itself off (:mad:), and then when I switched it back on it suddenly said 286h!
Was the "Candidates"-function (menu choice 8 when writing an SMS) present in any earlier SW-versions?

Haven't written that many SMS's so I don't know about the speed of the T9 input, but the menus seem generally slower. After I've pressed a button, the phone seems to stall for a few seconds. The response is delayed from I press a button till the phone reacts by 1-2 seconds. Quite annoying!! Especially when I'm doing something and while setting up an incoming call everything goes extra slow. Then when I press NO to exit, after about two seconds, the incoming call screen pops-up, and what do you know?? Of course, I've rejected the call!!
Apart from that I like my phone

I have the same problem with my T9 input. it takes the phone forever to recognize the word...very annoying when u finished the sms and just have to wait 20 sec for it to finish it...
I have t68m and i dont know if the software upgrade fixes it, or if even t68i is like that too...

i find the t9 alot quicker with the upgrade and it finds words faster by having a pop up list of words, navigating within the screens is faster except either accessing the menu screen from the normal screen and leaving it there still seems to be a lag there.On the whole lot better though.

And what about the canidates functions. can somebody explain to me what it is ?

Candidates function is the following :
When in T9 mode, and you are typing a word ( let's say letter by letter, slowly for the sake of the example ), a pop-up window appears, which gives you a list of the "candidates" that the word could turn out to be.
Turn it off and you get no "candidates" pop-up
