hello everyone. i got my p900 about a week ago and its been working perfectly, i love it, that is, until today. im not sure at what point exactly, but just a few minutes ago it cannot find my network (attw/cingular) and it says gprs is unatached. it was working perfect just hours ago and suddenly i cant make calls, it wont find my network and a new search reveals nothing everytime! it is in a constant loop of trying to find a network. wtf i am so frustrated, i have taken out the sim card, removed the battery, even did a master reset and it just will not find my network. unfortunately i do not have another sim card to try but can anyone please help me here. what am i doing wrong, what can i try?

Maybe it's not a problem of the phone but a network problem. The station that covers your area might be broken or something. I'd either wait a day or so, call att or go to another area that is covered by a different station.
Do you see any other network when performing a search?

no, i dont have another phone to try it in at the moment. although something weird happens once in a while it says it found t-mobil so i select it but it doesnt work and it just starts searching again. i hope it does come back tommorow or soon

It sounds more to me like a network or subscription-related problem. I wouldnt worry much about the P900 and would rather check on the 2 mentioned areas.

update:phone is working. ends up it was NOT a network problem apparently. and yes, i did pay my bill lol. so after searching for the network almost 50 times i just went to sonys update site again. now, i already had the latest revision for my phone but i told it to do it again anyway. so, 20 minutes later the phone is re-updated and wouldnt you know, as soon as it comes on it finds my cingular network. problem gone. now i want to know what caused it.. last i remember i installed syntrax, then it had a problem and crashed with some kenel error so i unsinstalled it, immediately after that, if i remember correctly is when my phone lost it. i dont know if i can relate the two but that was the last thing i did..damnit i want that program and am wary about reinstalling it! but i probably will
