Hi

Hope someone can help me I’ve downloaded a copy of Sony theme creator as well as the theme tutorial from a link on this site. I'm using Gimp 2 software package to edit my pictures but they always look really stretched and blurred when a change the ratio to 176 x 176 to fit my k700i screen.

Am i doing something wrong or should i be using a different software package?

Any help would be Appreciated

Try start making a picture in the format that the theme is using (eg. 176x176) and just past it in..

Are you starting with a bigger picture and size it down or small picture and size it up? Start out with a bigger picture and size it down for best image.

When the image you are using is a operfect square, you can simply shrink it to 176*176

But when your image is, say 600*200 the ratio is completely different and if you simply resize to 176*176 it's going to look stretched alright.

Instead of resizing like that, selecta perfect square first on your image, crop it and then resize.
