That thread isn't well developed though, and posted in the wrong forum!
Is it available PAYG?

in case you are interested, i just got a k700i thru virgin mobile, price £159.99. turns out the phone has been supplied unlocked. i've tried o2 / voda / orange cards and they all work. i reckon the rest of their stock is the same. plus there is NO branding anywhere on the phone & none of that dreadful stuff voda splash all over the menu's

Have you tried the online update thing? I thought mine was totally unbranded cause it was unlocked but if you try the firmware updater it'll tell you. I think.

He means something underneath the cover, inside the firmware..., something not visible to the naked eye.

Hmmm...160GBP seems like the amount you'll have to pay to get a new k700...sim free and unbranded so it could be very possible that virgin mobile gave you a absolutely new k700 without messing with its firmware or putting nasty brand logos on it...nice guys
