Is there any software for recording and editing audio files on the p800? If So where can i get it.

I don't know any editor unfortunately (appart from for MIDI tones )

You can record sound with the built in Voice Recorder & retrieve the WAVs using a third party file manager.
There's also an app that can record straight to mp3 & put it in audio folders but I have forgotten its name, it on my-symbian though

www.vitotechnology.com have an app to record straight to MS. You can record in difference format (not sure if that's what you are after).

I think thats the one I was thinking of, Vito SoundExplorer.
Its good for recording as it has a lot of setup options including file quality & sensitivity of the mic

What i was after is the ability to record and then chop exactaly what i need out and save. ill have a look at that app tho. Thanks

I'm sure it'd be possible but nobody's made one yet.
For now u could record with that & just edit on the PC

The good thing with SoundsExplorer is that you can customize buttons which is working in FC mode and in the background. Just a press on browser button make it starts and next press Pause it. If I use Power button it Starts and next press Stop it. They are working on more features and will hopefully soon be released but if it includes Edit function is unclear.
