Bookmark topic
i've gotten the HBM-30 as a present, but i don't have the right software to convert my cd's to atra3 or MP-3.
i've got mp-3 files but they don't work on the device. also the software that i have is to burn mp-3 and atrac3 on cd's, and not on my HBM-30.
any help is welcome

You need to convert the mp3 files to 192Kps or less.
If you go to download.com you can find many file convertors.
To rip your CD, try Winamp or Music Match.
ATRAC3 is long so stick with mp3.

Sounds like u maybe haven't put them in the correct folder for the headset to recognise them.
The headset probably won't see files within the P9's folder structure. I recommend u buy a Memory Stick reader for the PC so u can put them in the right place.
You'll also find general file transfer much faster & easier with a card reader

Yeah, nice new VAIO
Or there's the other option of spendin under £10 on a reader but then u don't get a nice new comp!
Also u could get a BT dongle IF the headset accepts files being sent to it by BT? Come to think of it, if it does accept them then u could send by BT from the phone

A card reader will do the job. But what you need to do is format the card in the HBM-30.
Basically you need to put the files in a certain folder (MP3).

@bart
Why didn't you speak to me.
Get yourself a sony MSAC-US30 this product comes with the sonicstage software and drivers this means you can take your existing mp3 library and use the software to encode to the memory card 'on-the-fly' making it a much moere efficient way of handling music. And also increasing the batery life of your HBM-30.
Don't forget my guide is posted on your website as well.
