Hi

I've had a Martin Fields SP on my P900... Recently my phone had to go in for repair but I forgot to take off the protector. When the phone came back it wasn't there.. Or so I thought..

When I put the SP on originally, there where blemishes on the screen surface from not putting it on perfectly.. Plus you could see the edges etc. When I got the phone back from repair, the screen was perfect. It had it's screen replaced so I assumed they had taken off the SP and not put it back on again..

BUT, now I'm thinking, what if they DID put it back on? PERFECTLY?

I've been looking at the screen and there is no bubbling or marks on the screen...There is no sign of an extra layer around the edges, EXCEPT one corner where there is a tiny mark, which kind of looks like where the SP might be lifting up... But I can't be sure. I don't want to pry at it of stick tape on it to try lift it up in case it's the real screen.

So I guess the question is, if the Martin Fields SP is put on perfectly, will there still be visible signs of it around the edges?

Thanks
Jon

Yes. You should see the edge of your MFOP, even if it was attached 'perfectly'. There is usually a little (0.5mm or so) of your P9 touch screen that can still be seen around the edge of the screen protector.

I'm viewing it from the fact that you had the screen replaced...

My best guess is that the technicians didnt bother to put back your screen protector after fitting the new screen. These guys usually just dont bother even if assuming you requested them to do. Most of the time, its a case of the receiving person not being the same one who did the job himself and failed to pass on the customers' instruction.

Anything you put on the phone will be removed and not return to you from repair center. That was told to me when I sent my phone in. If they get a sim card, it will be destroyed for security purpose.

don't know about those fancy protectors, I just ordered 12 (a set ) of protectors off ebay for about 6 or 7 quid and they do a wonderful job virtually 100% clear and almost invisible, if you haven't got a protector then seriously, get these and there's 12 so they'll last forever
