> Help me decide, P910i, i-mate JAM, or PDA2K
Bookmark topic
Hi!
I am thinking of changing my phone to either of the 3. Problem is, currently I have no proper idea of what each one can do. So I just want you all to just post what you think might help for me to decide. Mmm..
Some small questions:
The QWERTY keyboard of the PDA2K is it separatable?
The QWERTY keyboard of the P910i is separatable correct?
Hmm..And..Just overall..whatever you guys think may help
Thanks!

Get PDA2k, THe keyboard is not seperable, but it slides inside to be hidden.
@vin: I'm not aware of any 128MB JAM. Last I heard, It was 64MB, and the 128MB upgrade was 3rd party, cost a bomb and void the warranty.

I have the PDA2K and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOOOOOOOL!
Really the keyboard is great I use it heaps!
Girlfriend has the Imate Jam, not bad and pretty cool also but phones a mobile and sometimes you will be in a situation like in a car or something when it is too bumby to use the stylus and the keyboard makes life easy!
Also its more the screen moves up then a keyboard comes down, which means it is stronger and you wont get to worried about it snapping off like the P910.
I have owned the P800 and phone the interface of MS on the PDA2K just so much better and user friendly. More apps, bigger screen and I have a gig card in side which is cheap. More buttons on outside which makes it easier! Oh and it can handle programs like quake!!!! which I think is truely amazing such a phone can play such hungry apps like that.

I think that the PDA2K is better hardware, however some of the software packages that comes with the jam are better, eg MS media player, also a little icon on the bottom right of screen, you tap it and the screen rotates. With the PDA2k you have to go to settings to do this.
However these phones are very easy to modify the software, have a look at,
www.xda-developers.com you see guys hacking the software and doing all sorts of these.
I would get the PDA2K and buy the extra software or download it whatever.
Plus its just so nice to have everything compatible with you home computer! trouble free.
Also I have heard that the Imate jam has a mini USB, which the PDA2k does not, I have confirm this thou.
The camera on the Jam is higher pix, 1mp, but doesnt mean its better.
good luck with your choice.

JAM is by far the better choice for just about every situation. Both the PDA2k and JAM are Pocket PC OS...so they run the exact same programs. JAM has a better processor, better battery life, MP3 ringtone capability, better phone functions and the size is simply the tiniest going for a Pocket PC device. Get MicroSoft's Voice Command and you will never have to use the stylus except for typing messages.
Here is my review on the JAM......it is the very best Convergence Device available at this time......get one unless you can wait for the JAM 2 later this year..

I prefer the PDA2k simply because of the bigger better screen. And it does not look as camp as the JAM Shame they dont to 256k colours on those devices yet.
All in all i would always take the P910i because it has the best balance between phone and PDA to suit me. Although the i-Mate range are all very good.
