The infrared connection of my P900 does not work anymore. I am not able to send and receive anything through this connection. When somebody tries to send me something a "no available connection" apperars on his cellphone. I have obviously tried to switch on and off several times, without result. The bluetooth connection works properly 90% of the times ...
Any available advices?
Thank you very much.

try a format of the internal memory, and external you will lose all your data so backup all pictures and sounds and whatever you think is usefull and put it all back after the the phone restarts. DO NOT RESTORE A PREVIOUS BACKUP just start from scratch. to format the internall memory do this JOGDIAL CLOCKWISE (up) ONCE- THEN PRESS * THEN COUNTER CLOCKWISE (down) TWICE THEN PRESS * JOGDIAL DOWN THEN PRESS * and a service menu will apear select service functions and then the format menu will appear follow instructions on the phone. my opinion is that something is wrong with the software. something like that had happened to me regarding bluetooth after I formatted the phone using this method all went stable from then on. or you can try updating the phone using the on line update service but don't restore a previous backup start from the beginning and install everything from the start. if this does not solve your problem then you need to contact a sonyericsson cervice center.
