Folks,

What is your transfer speed for an average 4mb mp3 file, when you copy/paste it from your PC to P910i via DSS-25 USB cradle? It takes me 3-4 minutes to complete the transfer. Comparing to Nokia 6630,which uses USB as well, it is 2 times slower.

Please share your thoughts and maybe solutions on how can I improve in this aspect with my beloved P910i?

yup, get a usb 2.0 card reader, much faster than the cradle. I can fill up my whole 512mb card in the time it takes you to transfer 1 mp3

Take a look at this - my 2.0 card reader supports 11 formats..but the documentation does not say that it supports ms duo pro..however, when I inserted my card into the adapter and plugged it into the reader...it immediately recognized the drive as P-series! Amazing. Now I can copy documents as fast as 10mb in 2 seconds.

I was aware of the card reader option, but now it is my primary choice for reading/writing info

Cheers mate

Mine is just no-name called Card Reader USB 2.0 Bought it for 17$ bucks here in Azerbaijan. Works pretty well, and requires no drivers with Windows XP Service Pack 2. Supports 11 formats including memory stick, pro, duo, CF, MMC, SD, Xd and etc...
