I know someone else has probably asked the same question, but i cant find the answer to it anywhere
.
Anyways, i'm planning on updating my current firmware version (on my K500i) which is R2L001 to the latest version using a SyncStation and the SE Update Website. If i do, will the latest firmware allow me to mute the shutter sound? I took a look at the K500i/K700i firmware thread which gives all the information, but it says that the R2L001 firmware i have already should let me mute the shutter sound but it doesn't, so i'm confused...
Can anyone give me a solid answer? Thanx

Updating your firmware using SEUS will not silence the camera sound. There are other solutions however. If you update using other services like SE Tool, you will have no camera sound when the phone is set to mute. Other than that, there is a solution which I created myself. You can read about it
