I'm not sure if it's worth getting a Class 2 (10m) adapter or the Class 1 (100m). Will the 100m definitely work over distances of say 20m with the phone or does the 10m range of the bluetooth in the phone come into it?

why dont you get a 20m dongle? I have a 20m and 100m dongle and find that the 20m works better. The P9 only has a range of 10m so you wont be able to use the 100m dongle to its full range.
