In Scandinavia your friend can use it on every "Statoil" Gas-station, and in every SAS hotells too....

Yes, it is similiar to BT, but much bigger and bandwidth. IEEE 802.11b standard works on 2.4GHz and has max bandwidth of 11Mbit. You could also use it for playing lan games in a wireless network. My 3 friends have a wlan party, 3 computers witi wifi pci cards. They play games. . .
