I visited an internet site (finance company) this week and a spyware has affected some functions on my computer whenever I use internet explorer.

Basically whenever I surfing the web (on Internet Explorer), whenever I press right button on my mouse, a series of lists (advertising) comes up.

For example, you when we click right click on our mouse, it usually says "back, refresh, print etc." underneath that it has a huge list of advertising sites, etc.

Anyne know how I can get rid of this?

I ran ad-aware (with latest de file) but it doesnt remove it.

Does anyone know how to get rid of it manually?

You might be able to find it under /program files on your computer check for suspicious programs. Also you can check under add/remove programs in control panel for any programs you don't know about.
I found two spyware this way and removed them.
Or hit control, alt, delete to find running programs and get a cue of their name. Then you can search in Windows file manager for it.

had the same problem, the only difference was that the spyware downloaded some programs to my harddisc
in the end i had to, delete everything
if you can't get rid of the spyware, even without "search and destroy"(good freeware )
format your disc

Try the Microsoft anti-spyware programme, it's pretty good, despite being a Microsoft programme!

It's currently still in beta, but a very good programme nonetheless. I use it in conjunction with Adaware, it gets most spyware I might come across!
