I was just reading reviews about the K750 et al the new phones, and it seems animation and themes on Sony Ericsson phones has become a very big thing. Whilst not only does it slow down the phone, it can become pretty annoying when you want to do something quickly...
EDGE is something that is still missing from Sony Ericsson phones, most of them, and when they finally start releasing their enabled EDGE phones Nokia will be over a year and a half ahead of them, thats over 75 weeks. Sure, Sony Ericsson are doing fantastic with their 2 megapixel cameras but are they forgetting other basic necessities?

I dont see why SE not having EDGE in all their phones is a disadvantage, especially since EDGE is not very widespread throughout the world.
SE are doing fine IMO, i just wish they'd bring out a K750 style smartphone.

Well, remember you shouldn't be biased just because other phones are fantastic.
The K750's animation makes 12 icons slide from the top... now that would annoy me.
You miss my point etaab, EDGE will become more popular, and why not have a headstart! Wheres the harm in that!

Agreed. SE is missing out on EDGE big time. But, SE already got a head start in 3g, which is better. Since 3g networks are growing. For me, SE's strategy looks ok. I'm not sure of the sliding icons though.

I can assure you EDGE won´r put a foot here in Portugal at least, all the operators are focused in UMTS, no need for using inferior technology like EDGE
But i understand SE fans in countries were EDGE is popular to be concerned about this...i think SE will soon launch some edge versions

What ?? are you accusing me of being biased ? now thats gotta be a joke !
Why should SE put EDGE into phones where EDGE is never likely to appear ? like already mentioned, they have the headstart with 3G, so why bother with EDGE in countries that have it ?
Surely EDGE would only be profitable for SE and operators in countries that are not likely to have a 3G network ?
