> V800 and Sandisc Memory Stick Pro Duo Problem

I've recently purchased a 512MB Sandisc Memory Stick PRO Duo for my V800 phone, however the phone doesn't recognise it. Neither does my PC when connected via the USB cable to the phone.
2 questions.
1, Can the V800 handle a 512MB card?
2, Am I being really thick and missing something?

Have you formatted the card?
If not try that, if that doesent help, copy the content on your 32 mb card that came with the phone onto your new 512 MB card.
That should do the trick:)

Can format using the PC. What does the phone prefer, FAT or FAT32?

Never mind, looks like FAT was the way to go.
Wonder why the phone couldn't format the card on it's own though?

1st thing i did was... pop in the MS... go to (My Items) and select (more) and select (format ext. memory)... once done... it works like it suppose to... tada!!
all this is done without having the MS formated by the PC or connecting the phone with pc using USB... all is done only and only the phone... and it shud work fine.
