HI,

I Have a P800 with a faulty SimCard reader . Each time I on my phone it keeps showing "insert simcard" even after entering my pin. I dont intend to repair it since its almost 3 years old. However, I would like it to function like a PDA instead.

Anyway, my alarms are still working however I cant access it because of the "Insert Simcard" Screen.

I have tried using the flightmode but it keeps showing the "Insert simcard".

Is there a way I can access the PDA functions without using a simcard since I have bought another phone but my Datas are very important to me which is still inside.

Please advise?

Greatly appreciate your kind advise.

Thanks,

BC

Maybe instead of getting it properly repaired, you could attempt a repair of the sim reader itself if it is physically damaged...

then just slip an old sim in it that you don't use and keep it running in Flight Mode all the time (or if you still want the phone functions, use the sim )

If you send me some pics of the SIM holder, I could possibly be able to fix it for you. Depends whats wrong really..

Just put any sim card in, it does not have to be active.
