> Mission to find the best K700i firmware
Bookmark topic
Well why not! It only takes a minute. Please, all K700i Esato members post up!
i/we want to know:
- How long your battery lasts on average
- How smooth the animations are on your menu, does it jigger/jagger, do the icons increase in size smoothly
- How long does it take for your phone to turn on.
- How smooth your video recorder is, very pixelated, jaggered, pausing?
- How slow your phone performs, is it generally very responsive? Fast menu system?
- Are there any visible BUGS that happen continuously?
- And most importantly your firmware! Enter this code on the home screen: >* is direction of joystick). No matter where you go, still enter it and a new menu will pop up. Choose first option, and navigate to firmware details ( i think phone version will do it )
If anybody has anything they think should be tested then tell me straight away! This is designed to help Sony Ericsson K700i users get the best out of their phone.
If everyone takes part we can identify and upgrade so we can get the best out of the Sony Ericsson K700i!

Not a mission that needs to take to long
The latest R2AE033 are the best firmware
Havent been able to find a single bug yet. Batterylife is best ever. All menus are smooth as silk.

I was a bit sceptical about the k700 fore i bought it coz of too many firmware related bugs that i read about over here. When i finally got it, and its on R2AE i was pleasantly surprised to see that i did not come across any of the so called bugs. Yes, i could do with extra battery power but with 2 full days on my kind of usage, im not complaining. Menus & animation are smooth. Cam gives great pics. The vid recorder is quite good for a phone cam. All in all, i am very happy with the k700 and the R2AE fw
