I'm trying to update my K500i phone right now using the SE update site.

However, when i click the 'Automatic Verification Mode' option the update PC client/program doesn't download, instead a page is loaded saying some stuff.

But when i click 'Recovery Mode' i am able to reach the 'User Agreement' page to download the client.

Can i still choose recovery mode to continue (which is the only mode thats working, will it make any difference and will it work the same?

Should it matter which option i choose, it seems as if the 'Recovery Mode' option is purely for skipping the checklist to prepare for the update. But i know i have everything in the checklist, so can i still use the recovery mode to update my firmware? Will the same program be downloaded?

Thanx for your help- but i've called the Sony Ericsson support number, and they've checked the update site and confirmed that there's a problem. They've notified the website team and they said they'd get bak to me wen it's up and running. This message was posted from a K500

I'll let you know when they've contacted me to say if it's operational again (for those who are having problems also).
