Hi All,

I need your help. I've a unlock cell phone sony ericsson K700i and using one of the provider in Asia. When I travel to State I brought my K700i. After a month I stay here I decided to bought one prepaid card from AT&T as I thought my unlock cell phone can be using with any sim card here. Also I will stay here for few months.

However, I always have problem with this sim card.
First, I couldnt receive any sms from overseas (I've tried so many times called AT&T Cust. service to help me to solve the problem. They thought maybe the message center number was wrong and it's still unable to receive the sms. Then I went to the shop where I bought the sim card, they tried to help to fix the problem, It works after they reset my phone. But it's only for while. Because the next day, I was unable received sms again. Then I gave up after I went to so many times the shop.)

Then, I decided to use my own sim card but I couldnt get the signal anymore. I didnt know why. Because the first time I came to State, I'm using my sim card it's fine. Since I changed my own sim card to AT&T card, then I'd like to change to my own sim card again. My sim card is unable to get any network here.

Is there anyone can solve my problem? maybe can help me how to reset my K700i, I'm thinking if I reset the phone maybe it will be working.

Please help as I need this cell phone to communicate with my family when I am in overseas.

Thank you in advance.

Tata

Gosh! I wonder how you got a job in the states! There are lot of technicalities involved, but i'm unsure of how to explain them to you. See, the states use a diff frequency for communication from asia and europe, that could be a reason. Your original sim will not work unless you have activated roaming in it. Also...whoever is sending you the messages needs to enter your number with the correct county code prefixes etc...
