i cant seem to open seus on my pc, i just bought a dss-20 from a friend, the dss cam from a p800 2 years ago and there is no "DSS-20" on the bottom of the syncstation... i dont know wat else is wrong..
please help me...

I bought a DSS-25 this week. Had same problems connecting it to my computer, partly because... there wasn't an installation CD included!!! (The company i bought it from sealed it in a plastic bag and shoved it in a Compact Disc sized envelope, classy eh?).
So i panicked for abit, then i found my way to the drivers on the Sony Ericsson site...

I downloaded the 'USB Drivers for Sync Station DSS for P910' drivers, which work perfectly fine.

i finally found d dss20 driver from se site. now the problem is that, previously i installed the dss20 without the driver by searching the add hardware wiz and just after i downloaded the dss20 driver, i uninstalled he dss20 driver but i noticed that the hardware was labeled DCU-11 cable? (is that normal? a DCU-11 is just a cable and not a synctstation ryt?) and wen i uninstalled it and re-plugged the usb cable, the new found hardware appeared and i reinstalled it, the prompt said that it cannot locate the driver?? wat's wrong? i unzipped the file and i remember were i extracted it... please help...

I thing it can be another problem with your dss:(
The old series of dss are not compatible with seus, they are visible in system as dcu-11. I've had one from my friend and I've the same problems like you. So i rent another from other friend who has identity view station and this is visible as dss-20 and I've upgraded my k700i to newest firmware without problems.
Search forum, I've found something about it this time when I try do make it works.

yah, ive searched to in other forums and they said the same thing as what u said, just confirming if that really is the error or is that sumthing i can do about... oh well.. cost me a cent or two with this dss good for nothing, better buy a new one...
