Finally, a thread about the online update for the V800 - surprised to not see more of them around.

Has anyone managed to get it to work then? The instructions on the site say that you need PC Suite installed, and that it can be downloaded from the global support site - I've lost the original CD, so can't check there. Anyway, it's not available to be downloaded for the V800; all you have for that is the Sync Station. For the PC Suite you have to go to the P800 or P9xx pages, but even then it doesn't seem to work with the V800.

Another annoyance is you can't actually backup the V800 with the Sync Station - only syncronise the phone book - so I'll lose all my apps and games surely?

Onto the actual update, it says to hold down the left navigation key '
Anyone got it to work? )

Yup. Could upgrade to R1S025 using SEUS.

Start key is the key you have to press to power on the phone.

Hehe - typical. I tried the power button before, but after I made that post, it worked this time.

Any changes? Uhh, the only visible thing I can see is that you can tell the phone to search for GSM and 3G networks, or just GSM networks. And I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but I've not had a 3G signal where I live - even last night I was lying in bed browsing Live! on normal GPRS. But after the update, I just did a search for a new network, for a laugh, and I see Vodafone's 3G network listed! It's still holding the signal all around the house! I swear the times I did a manual search before, it didn't pick it up. Just thought I'd mention it like.
