> hbh 660 backlight not good enough
Bookmark topic
I just got an hbh 660 headset, and i noticed the backlight does not stay up long enough to read the display when i get a call at night or when its dark. i wonder why sony ericsson will go ahead and make this headset so
cr@ppy.
Why do i need a bluetooth headset (with CLI) if i still have to look at my phone to see who's calling.
I also realised the 'play caller name' function is wack compared to my hbh 65, the 660 distorts the voice tag when its ringing, at the end you only hear half the name.
Has anyone else noticed this or is my 660 faulty?

the headset actually displays the caller. but the BACKLIGHT only flashes for half a second.
you definitely cant see who's calling when its dark. you have to resort to your phone. not quite acceptable by me.

Same problem here. It flashes for perhaps a 10th of a second, way to short to read the display in dim light.

Just received a replacement HBH-660 today. Same problem. I'm using the latest firmware on my P910a, R4A10. Headset has firmware R1D, same as the one it replaced. My brother's HBH-660 works fine with my phone. His headset firmware is older, R1C.

try deleating the contact you have that is calling you, then re enter the contact and store it BUT DO NOT store first name and last name seperately, for example if the contact's name is john smith store it in the name category all together and leave the last name category blank. then enter the phone number. tried that on a friends k700 and it worked. the backlight remained on as long as the phone was ringing. (don't as me why l don;t know must be a bug)

No problems with mine and i have the older R1C software on it. My main issue is the loud connecting beep which is so much louder then HBH-60 or HBH-65
