I have Samsung T100 (I have two phones), happy with it.
I need to be able to copy my "Phonebook" from the mobile memory to my computer as a backup
I use win XP and win 98/2ed
The software on the support site (that works only with windows 98/2ed) is not for phonebook download, it will allow you to use the phone as a modem (if I'm not mistaken).
