> bt "sniff mode" on p910i
Bookmark topic
Ive heard that my p910i has what is called a "sniff mode". Apparently this means I don't need to enable bluetooth in order to use my bt headset as long as the phone has the handsfree profile enabled. If this is right, how is the handsfree profile enabled? Maybe Im being thick but I'm at a complete loss. Can anyone help?

This is not true - there's probably some confusion between this and bluejacking/snarfing. To use BT on your P910i, you do need to have BT enabled.

you're kinda right... basically while you're not on a call, the P910i -> bluetooth headset is passive, meaning there isn't much energy being used. Bluetooth still must be enabled though.
