i have an unbrannded k700i which is running r2ae033 but i am getting the problem with texts when using an 02 sim, i get the messeges when i restart the phone. just want to know what the fix is with out locking or o2 customising my handset.

Have the latest FW installed, when that does not help, exchange it under warrenty. Or try moving up your provider to no.1 in the preferred network list.

Afaik there have been widespread issues with the k7/s7 and o2 text system. Also i dont believe it can be rectified with a firmware upgrade otherwise o2 wouldnt have had to call these phones back. To the best of my knowledge there is nothing you can do about it, either change you network or change your phone.

probably, but it seems some sims is your sims, besides! orange has free wap till end of april (some sims) have bogof texts, theres that offeer with call for half an hour( random) and u get half an hour back or summin like that. Besides orange has better customer services
