I understand people are flashing their P900 firmware to a P910's. For those who have done this, did any of you find that the increased memory usage (I assume there will be) restrict the running of any programs? I find the RAM restrictive enough as it is and this would be my main concern before upgrading.

What have been your experiences?

Im not sure, but when you upgrade you can use 1Gb cards so i don thtink you would have to worry about space

hi si_v80.
Thanks for that, but RAM is running memory like on PCs, not storage (which is like PC hard disks). The RAM on the P900 cannot be increased above 16MB. I cannot run a streets program currently due to lack of RAM. (And yes, before someone says it, I have killed everything I can. If anyone can tell me how to kill "phone" I'd be grateful ).

The P900/P910 conversion firmware is not P910i formware in its original state.

It is edited by a very clever person for optimal use on the P900.

Doesnt it also kill the Bluetooth on the phone when you put P910i software on a P900?

so what you're saying gbrooks3 is that I don't need to worry, it shouldn't use significantly more system resources than the P900 firmware?

The bluetooth will not be disabled. Only pairing with the headset seems to be troublesome. (As i understand it) you can use the bluetooth for rest of the functions. This message was posted from a K500
