is there a file size limit regarding what it can convert??? i ask because if i try and open a 17kb file it works fine, but when i try to open a 796kb file it says converting, then opening, then at arond 47% it says not enough memory !!!. this phone has NOTHING installed except what it came with preinstalled ,also, the stock pictures have been deleted to free up space, along with the demo vid. the file in question opens up fine on my P900 in the viewer app that came on my P800 apps CD. any help folks?

its the stuff that is preinstalled on the P910i at purchase. i just tried installing the 'more viewers' app that came with the P800, which worked on my P900 but it does not show the icon to open it with. it does show as installed in storage wizard.

I'm not sure if there's a file size restriction you can convert, but the new Quickoffice 3 certainly is much faster in opening files (including large files) than the one included in the phone. In fact, it's quite zippy!

Two suggestions:
1. Clean up your excel file before importing. If you don't need to edit it, try copy -> paste-special -values only-. on a new sheet.
It will shrink a lot.
2. If you don't need editing at all, take a look at RepliGo:

i tried the 'paste special' route , but it messed up the dates in column A. does anyone know if quick office has the autofilter function of excel?

@locoworks
You forgot to paste-special formats only, *over* the paste-special values only.
The data is there, but it being shown in the wrong format.
