Hi guys,

Hope someone can help me on this one! – Just got a SE K500i and am trying to configure it for connection to the internet via 02 GPRS. I have installed the software and driver for it and also have the cable connected. When I click connect it says opening port and then says something about Operator Assisted or Manual Dial, and says that I should type in a phone number into the phone (*99***1#) and press call/send but when I do what it says it comes up with APPLICATION ERROR on the phone…

Anyone got any ideas what I am doing wrong? – Please!

Ross

Call your operator's assistance and ask for them to send you in a smart sms the phone's settings for gprs internet connection. Also you need to ask them to activate your account for this service. God bless. This message was posted from a Z600

Anyone else?

Make sure your K500 modem drivers are installed:
Windows XP: control pannel>>system>>hardeware>>device manager
Look under "Modems"
It should say 'K500 Modem' or something similar, if the modem is not installed, re-install your phone software.
Now make a new dial-up connect, linking to the k500 modem, enter your gprs username and password (if any) and make the phone number '*99***2#'
Then click connect and it should work perfectly!
