Am I dreaming or is christersson's theme editor ver 4.1.4 making theme file sizes smaller? Just noticed that the new version, file sizes ranges from 15kb to around 23kb but the older version was averaging around 24kb to 32 kb. Is it just the pics that I've been using recently?
If so, I'm going to bump up my pic file sizes for better quality!

Mark, there was a mention about the fix in packaging the themes via tar.

The fix for tar was that I changed to 2bytes in the checksum and should have nothing to do with the theme size.
It's most likely the images that have a different size.

Thanks man. I was just wondering. Because only recently that I noticed a drop in file sizes and I was thinking it was impossible to compress the finished .thm file and still retain the same quality. Guess its just a coincidence with the pics then. Just wanted to know.

@mbjc
Since upgrading from v. 4.0.6 to 4.1.4 I keep getting the error message "error in getfilename...", and sometimes "Incorrect checksum for file - will try again".
I'm running Win2K.

Yeah, same here. It happens sometimes. After I make a file, save it, I can read it immediately after that. But if I close theme editor and run it again, sometimes I can't read the file and have errors like laffen's problems.

Made some correction for the tar checksum.... The error in Getfilename - can you give me more information about how this error appears?? Can you also send me the logfile from the program?
Micke
PS: I have added a new version to my homepage DS.

mbjc--> ArnoldC and I were having some problems with this theme.
We can't open the file on the phone, even after saving another copy, changing some colours then saving again and so on. But its able to open on the editor without any error msg. Just can't open in the phone? Any ideas?
