Hello,

From time to time (too often) when I am in the SMS texting function I lose the option to tap the keypad icon (Icon not there!) on my P900 to enable me to type in manual text (I work solely with a touch screen and pen as I have removed the flip-pad).

I have to turn phone off completely (not just trick it by going into flight mode or something) then switch back on and let it boot back up. I can then go into SMS and the Keypad icon has then reappeared at the bottom of the screen, enabling me to tap it to call up the touch-screen keypad.

Is there any way round this or is it a common fault please??

Thankyou,
Andy.

Come to mention it i have experienced this problem tonight.
I went to write a message to my bro but there was no text imput options. i had sent a message two mins earlier with no problems. the only way to correct this was to restart my phone.
@dovertickets
i recently installed simwatcher and i used this app inbetween sending my two messages.
have you by anychance installed the same app.

I have not installed any software mentioned, a couple of games from disc or PC maybe, but this is an intermittent problem that has happened ever since I purchased the phone from New.

I will post any ultimate solution to this topic.

Cheers,
Andy.

Used to have this problem (no virtual keypad icon, or handwriting recognition arrow) on my P900 and it meant you couldn't input any text at all. I used to reboot and thought it was a memory problem, running out of the stuff.

However, recently its started happening on my P910i and it annoying the hell out of me. Phone is going back this weekend to hopefully solve a battery problem and this fault is also going to be mentioned.

I don't have the software mentioned loaded but I do have a load of others (Handyday2004, Magic launcher, Profilmai etc.).
