Just wondering if i could get a few simple questions answered since vodafones userguide and webpage seem to be useless. im fairly new to this kind of technology.

This vodafone live! function, i kind of understand what its aiming at but i thought the idea was that you can browse there pages for free and download things yet every music, picture, sound i click on says terms and conditions and buy now? What use is this heh - whats good about this vodafone live package?

If i upgrade the firmware to the z800s, i read in many places this mucks up the vodafone live, is it worth it? and what does it muck up? heh understanding what vodafone live actually gives me might help but vodafones webpages tell me nothing useful except it brings me everything i want and fast? Is it worth using this davinci teams website as it seems cheap and fairly simple? and what cable should i use, will my usb one do?

does anyone have any good links to sites with themes, backgrounds, games, etc for this phone?

do video calls cost the same as normal calls?

if anyone could answer some/all of these id greatly appreciate it as im having trouble coming to grips with the phone and what it can do, and sorry if there obvious, i just cant find the answers easily.

Also i just tried importing a random mpg but it only appears in my items and not my media? do i need a convertor to convert it to the phones type of movie?

Tris.

I suggest you to upgrade to Z800 firmware, so you can have mp3 ringtones, caller ID in your external screen, less bugs etc. As for themes, check this out: http://gallery.mobile9.com/c/sony-ericsson-v800v800i-themes/1/

I think you must buy nearly everything. I wouldnt bother with it, it isnt much use. Best get yourself a datacable and do a google or come to Esato for themes etc. and transfer to phone!

I dont think the USB cable will do. At http://www.se-nse.com we have a repair and debranding service. Our debrander is Graham Brooks and he is available to debrand your V800 for a fee. If you email repairs@se-nse.com he will get back to you! Its very worth debranding, voda phone live is a waste of time. As the post above mentions, you get lots of new extras plus no more tacky red all over the firmware!

Esato for themes, Google for everything else

Are you PAYG or PAYM? I think they cost more... it would be logical if they did...

No worries thats wot Esato is for. As i say, google is useful, also why not PM some V800 users. I dont use one, but i want one, hence the avatar
