just got a new panasonic video player and im having trouble setting it up. the manuals crap. the player works and displays the time but i dont know what channel i have to put it on to watch videos. its really confusing. it is connected to my tv by a wire and another wire which is the aerial. i think i have to programme a channel but its hard! Its a Nv-HV60EB/EBL. can any one help me set it up?

you mean one of the tape players or CD?

if it is tape:

unplug the cable for you r tv and put the one from VCR into it. now put in a tape and start playing. switch on tv and select a unused channel, go to menu of the tv and select manual/semi tuning and fire away till you get a picture.

No, seriously, you probably have an aerial and a SCART plugged between the TV and the VCR, right?
If so, select program 0 (zero) to use the aerial connection, or select the scart input to use the scart connection.

Scart will give you a clearer picture and it will most likely automatically change the channel as soon as you play a tape too. This message was posted from a Z600

Thats right. Scarts allow both appliances to autotune and the pictures is much better.
