I used SEUS to upgrade from R2L to R2AE a couple of months ago on my Orange K700.

I had 'error in communication with device' message from the service and have since had a few glitches and corrupt files on the k700.

I read CyberVisitors post at http://www.esato.com/board/vi[....]opic=72651&start=15#post972152 and this explains what has happened to the firmware.

Does anybody know a way to rectify the damage done to the firmware by the sony ericsson update service?

any help appreciated!

AFAIK, bring it to the nearest Service Center and ask them to deeply reflash the mobile.

That's the only suitable solution that I know...

(The same is "still happening" to me...)
