When l upgraded from P800 to P910i 3 months ago, it was not because of the new keyboard in the flip. l used my P800 then without the flip & l was... l think quite good using the virtual keyboard, and so it came natural to do the same with the P910i. l didn't remove the flip though of the P910 like l did my old P800 because l found the T9 on flip closed functional, but on flip open l used the virtual keyboard and hardly used the new flip keyboard.

Last week with lots of free time on hand while on vacation & getting bored with my P910i, l just thought, why not and started playing around with the flip keyboard. To my surprise, after a few hours using it and some frustratiion at the start, l was getting the hang of it and started to like it. l now use the flip keyboard as my primary mode for text entry.

l just wish SE added a backlight with it and an on/off switch to save on power when not needed. They can still do it as a replacement accessory or a 3rd party supplier can do it. l would buy one right off if this was available. How about you?

Yeah, I'd prolly buy one too. I also use the flip keyboard, especially when I'm using Agile Messenger. Much faster than using the virtual keyboard or stylus. Only gripe with the flip keyboard is that everytime I'm done typing, I still have to use the stylus to press send. Hopefully they make a flip keyboard too with an enter key and not just a return key.

I hardly use the stylus. I use the nail of my forefinger when l need to tap on the touchscreen like when using the virtual keyboard. I installed a brando screen protector since day one, the one that is anti-reflective and not to sensitive in getting fingerprint marks. This is a practice since my P800 days. It's a hassle to be taking out the stylus when there's need to tap on the touchscreen.
