I used to have a T28 & a T39 and I liked the volume level of the "message alert" but with my new T68i, the message alert tone is pretty soft - even with the volume level at 6/6.

How can I increase the message alert volume level?

Will a firmware upgrade solve this? I have R2E006.

I am afraid that is the best we can get :-(. I am also disappointed with that. Even with vibrator on, i still miss a lot of text due tothat :-( This post was posted from a T68i

I confirm...
It's not possible... And you are not the only one complaining about it!
Many persons miss the "old" E/// message alert.
Think than an improvement for the future would be to be able to choose/download the SMS ring/volume....

U R not alone for this disappointed feature. I'm also sick with this. Seems SE still one step behind Nokia in this case. This post was posted from a T68i

Sorry, silly question I imagine, but how do you get a vibrating alert on incoming SMS messages? When I receive a message, I simply get tone, a very quiet tone (lol). I have vibrating alert set to ON, and message alert set to TONE. I'm on firmware revision R2E006.

Regards,

Lee
